This is my Story

I was born in South Africa and came to America to complete my Doctorate in Chiropractic. Immediately after I graduated, my family had a massive tragedy, I moved to Connecticut so I could help my family through this very difficult traumatic time. Got married to a man that I hardly knew, but that seemed to share similarities. Boy Was I wrong.

Gave birth to two beautiful children (whom I adore with my whole being)

After a few years, in 2015 I made the tough decision to divorce in the best interest of myself and the children. What I didn’t know at that time was that I was starting a high conflict divorce that would last almost a decade! I have experienced many challenges in this high conflict stressful divorce and I am now passionate about sharing my knowledge to help others on this tough journey to freedom. A few of my experiences are as follows:

failed mediation, change of attorney, multiple meetings including the GAL, delayed discovery, three days of trial with potential for 4 more days, having to support the children in their needs, constant arguments despite a parent plan, refusal for compliance over payments for school and sports, arguments over parenting time for each and every holiday, anger and passive aggression, weaponized religion, extreme delays from court system, and more…

Then in 2020, right after covid started, I had to do it again. Post divorce, noncompliance with court orders, alimony and child support non-payment, having to pay costs for the children after alimony and child support was cut in half without a court order during covid 19,  arguments over sport and all activity reimbursement for the children, delayed court dates for trial, delayed discovery and court visits, education decision making trials and appeals, more arguments over custody time, financial abuse, another 6 days of trial, waiting for an answer from the judge which took 6 months, appeals and more…
